SEDATION OPTIONS

Visiting the dentist can be nerve-wracking, we get it! Patient comfort is a priority for our team; we never want your anxiety of coming to see us interfere with your yearly visits!

Thompson Family & Implant Dentistry is proud to offer excellent sedation options for fearful or anxious patients. Nitrous Oxide, aka Laughing Gas, is a sedation option well suited for those with minor anxiety. We can accomplish deeper sedation through oral medication or through an IV. Oral and IV sedation keep a patient conscious while inducing a drowsy and dream-like state, relieving any stress, worry or pain. During both Oral and IV Sedation, we closely monitor vital signs.

Because of the side effects, both Oral and IV sedation require the patient to have a family member or friend drive them to and from the appointment.
